I’m lucky enough to have found Daniel Field Organic Hairdressing almost on my doorstep  in Barnet.  So in my chemical-reduced new life, I decided to give it a go.   Daniel Field uses high quality organic and mineral products; are and safe than traditional salon methods; not tested on animals and contain no animal by-products.

The organic product is called ‘Water Colour’, which amazingly can be used as a demi, semi or permanent dye depending on how it is applied.  Very clever.

Rebecca was my stylist and did a superb job at matching up my hair colour whilst removing those offending greys and covering up the roots which gave away my natural colour.   She also did a great blow-dry and I didn’t feel the need to re-do at home, which is often the case when I visit other salons.  There was no Eau De Chemicals as with most other hair dyes and, best of all, it was three quarter’s the price of the other salon I used to visit.

My boyfriend even noticed!  Actually, what he did say was “Did you have your hair coloured, it looks like your natural colour?” which I think is actually a huge complement to Daniel Field.

Other colour methods they use are ‘Mineral Colour’ using fruit oils and a plant based alkaline alterntive to ammonia and ‘Seaweed’ for highlighting, used seaweed and mineral extracts.
